The weekend of Christmas is finally here. Some of you might already be on their way home while others are watching the time ticking out before the Christmas Holiday. For this reason, we thought some of you would enjoy reading a post about how to best spend your holidays while you are on your way back home.

It is our way to wish you a Merry Christmas, and at the end of the post, we even prepared a present for you ;).

1) Take a real break

Did you just set up your “out of office” message and sent your Christmas e-cards? Right, now it’s time to forget about work and your to-do list. Stop your mind from thinking about work and don’t check those emails right after Christmas because if you really want to “detox” and start back on the right foot, it is better to wait for your return. It will ignite your passion for work once you’re back and you’ll feel energised.

2) Relax

Christmas can be stressful with the last working tasks, present shopping and all the preparations. Once you’ve left the office, forget about everything and put on a nice Christmas playlist to peacefully immerse yourself in the mood. Christmas should be a moment of pleasure and happiness to share with your family and relatives. So, leave any stress behind you and enjoy these days. During these two days, take time to shop your last Christmas presents while soothing in the holiday mood. The two days before are even more special than Christmas Day because the wait makes them emotional.

3) Party with moderation

Don’t get yourself busy every day with parties and night outs. Christmas means family time and childhood friends. Nonetheless, rest a couple of days home because it is necessary to find back your energy.

4) There is nothing more relaxing than a great Christmas playlist or movie. It is also the right time to finally read that book you always wanted to read and relax by cooking some traditional cakes and then share them with your loved ones.

5) New goals

Use the last few days of your holiday to create a list of your 2018 personal and professional goals. Think about your life and focus on what you want to improve. Giving yourself aims and writing them down contribute to achieving them. It is also the right time to think about the places you would like to visit, and maybe book a ticket for next summer – and thus spare some money ;).

I created a template that you can fill with your personal and professional goals as well as the places you want to go to in 2018. Don’t forget to set deadlines for each of your goals to stay focussed and determined to achieve them. Print the template and hang it somewhere you can see it every day: on the wall in front of your desk, on the fridge, in your room.

Take a picture of your template compiled with your goals and share it on Instagram using the hashtag #GO2018spettacolare and tag @glamobserver. I will share your posts and stories on GlamObserver profile.

See you with a new post on December, 27th.

Merry Christmas,

Giada
