There is no one single career path to follow in order to work in fashion. It’s not like becoming a doctor or lawyer. In fashion, both those who have studied fashion design or any fashion courses, as well as those who have a “generic” degree in law, communication, engineering … can get a job in fashion. If it is true that there is no single path that leads you to a job in fashion, it is also true that there are some tools and strategies that we can use in our favor that if executed correctly, will for sure get you to your goal: landing a job in fashion.

We talked several times about which tools to use to start a career in fashion and during our Webinar on how to get a job in fashion, our members asked me to do a focus on how to best use LinkedIn for a career in fashion.

LinkedIn is the best social media platform for professionals that brings many benefits, the most important one is the ability to get us a job!
Linkedin is very useful not only because it represents your online resume, but because more and more recruiters use it not only to evaluate a candidate but also to contact him or her directly to offer a job interview. LinkedIn is also very useful at the beginning of one’s career, to grow your network, find clients if you’re a freelancer and much more.

LinkedIn works as a search engine like Google, so like some websites are the first in the search result page, also some profiles on LinkedIn go up when recruiters do their research for the best candidate who matches the keywords. In this webinar, I explain you how to set up a professional profile, how to use the keywords in your profile and other tips on making your profile appear in the first search results, how to use it for your personal branding, to find a job in fashion and to network with other fashion professionals even when you’re at the beginning of your career.

This webinar that was live exclusive for you, GO member on June 25th is now permanently part of the exclusive content for you accessible unlimited time in the archive.

Whether you have just graduated and you have to enter the world of work, or you are looking for an internship, or you already have a job, it is super important to take care of your LinkedIn profile to get new opportunities.
